SteelCloud facilitates the delivery of your server platforms by utilizing a hands-on, closed-looped assembly schematic. This approach spans the life of the program and employs a dedicated Program Manager (PM) to ensure that SteelCloud meets or exceeds the expectations of the client.

Acting as your in-house advocate, the PM’s activities start with coordinating regular meetings and supplying program analytics to the client’s overall program manager. Beyond this, the PM maintains schedules and meets client-specified guidelines by exercising a breadth of additional responsibilities. Your personal PM is ultimately responsible for ensuring the project’s quality objectives and achieving our shared goals – addressing issues with repair, performance and technology management throughout the server’s lifecycle.

Configuration management is the science of ensuring that each unit produced, from the first to the last, is configured precisely the same – down to the chipset, BIOS and drivers level.  SteelCloud prides itself on delivering the type of configuration management that leads to unit predictability and the confident execution of support and upgrade activities.  This superior configuration methodology results in improved overall performance and reliability, a heightened end-user experience, and a more profitable program.

SteelCloud services come full circle by providing an array of offerings that manage the inventory of the client’s finished products.  SteelCloud’s inventory management services include:

• Product shipment forecasting
• Supply fulfillment (shipment management and tracking)
• Supply chain management
• Component replenishment (for production and repair/upgrades)
• Inventory logistical reporting

SteelCloud works closely with it’s many vendors to assure the timely availability of the correct components at the best price. Once a design is committed to, suppliers are identified and long-term consistent availability is negotiated. Component lifecycles are examined and end-of-life plans are investigated. If necessary, SteelCloud will enter into contractual arrangements with our suppliers to guarantee the supply of key components throughout the program’s lifecycle. Component quality is constantly reassessed throughout the program in order to maintain reliable deliverables to our customers.

Sometimes supply chains are disrupted due to unforeseen events – earthquakes in Asia, factory fires, labor disputes, and the like. SteelCloud has a history of working through these issues in partnership with our vendors, and has been able to insulate our customers from these events, or at least mitigate their impact.

The objective of lifecycle management is to insure that the SteelCloud server continues to provide best value to our customer and to the end users, over the total lifespan of the program.  This generally involves leveraging technology advances and changing price points over time.  As technology matures, SteelCloud is ever on the alert to assess the potential impact on the program, the device, and its components, and to identify improvements.

Through our strategic relationships with major technology firms such as Intel and Microsoft, SteelCloud is well positioned to keep our customers appraised through periodic technology briefings.  Our access to these vendors product roadmaps and early releases lets us thoroughly evaluate advances in technology and test compatibility with the initial design parameters.
